Countertop Wrapping

Turn worn laminate into the marble, granite or concrete look you have always wanted, without ripping out a single counter.

A stone look without the stone price

Countertop wrapping uses a thicker, wear-resistant architectural film designed for horizontal surfaces. We wrap the top, the front edge and the backsplash return so the finish reads as one continuous slab.

It is ideal for laminate counters that are structurally sound but dated, rentals between tenants, and homes being prepared for sale.

Popular countertop wrap finishes

  • Calacatta and Carrara marble looks
  • Speckled granite and quartz looks
  • Concrete and terrazzo
  • Solid matte white, black and greige
  • Butcher-block wood grains

Living with a wrapped countertop

Wrapped counters are tough on daily use, but they are not stone. Use a cutting board, and use trivets for hot pans and appliances that run hot. Wipe spills with mild soap and water. Treated this way, a quality countertop wrap stays good-looking for years.

FAQ

Countertop Wrapping FAQs

Can wrapped surfaces handle heat?

Wrapped surfaces handle normal kitchen temperatures, but direct high heat can damage film. Use trivets for hot pans on wrapped countertops, and we never wrap cooktops, oven doors or other surfaces that get hot.

How long does a cabinet vinyl wrap last?

Professional-grade architectural films are made for interiors and, installed properly and cared for, commonly last many years. Lifespan depends on the film, the surface underneath and how heavily the kitchen is used. We will recommend a film suited to your kitchen.

How do I clean a wrapped kitchen?

Use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders and harsh solvents such as acetone.

Can the wrap be removed later?

Yes. Architectural films can generally be removed by a professional using gentle heat, which is why wrapping is popular with renters and landlords. How cleanly it comes off depends on the surface underneath.
